I'm back on the Sam Walker show tonight,(Mon 17th Nov) running my eye over the interesting news stories of the day. I will be on just after 10pm. BBC Radio Manchester can be found on 95:1Fm, online and on DAB digital radio.
Tomorrow Tues 18th November, I will be doing a book reading as part of the Chorlton Book Festival.
It will take place at the Louge Bar, Wilbraham Road at 7:30pm. Aswell as reading extracts from the book,
there will be a 'confessional section' where you can talk about your break up stories or your 'friends' break up stories. It's FREE!!! Men & WOMEN are welcomed. (Books will be made available on the night).
On Weds 19th Nov I will be readng some of my poems at an event called Kulture Klub.
It's from 6:30pm-9pm. It's at Solomon Gallery Art Dept, Hopwood Hall College, Rochdale.
There will also be drinks and nibbles and the event is Free.
Other Stuff.
It was good to see Heat magazine marking the historic US elections, they named Barack Obama as
'torso of the week'. And some people have the cheek to say we are dumbing down as a society.
Talking of which, 'I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here' is back on TV with the usual mish-mash of contestants involved, including Robert Kilroy-Silk. I wonder if when he's eating kangeroo anus, he'll be regretting his sacking from his chat show for saying 'what have Arabs ever given to the world'.
I was in York last week, as the special guest performer at the York Libraries Conference. Due to the crapness of trains I got there 15mins before I was due to go on, but just in time for cake, A RESULT! I did my set, 45mins, stayed to sell some books and then back to the train station. I was in and out of York in about
1 and a half hours, which is good going, let's face it Russell Brand's had longer relationships.
And Finally, it was nice to see multi-millionairre tax exile, Lewis Hamilton on Children in Need, asking us to give generously. Cheers for that Lewis.
